Radikls are very pleased to announce our 20th anniversary this year. Started in 1997, the business was originally named Dorsetweb.
As business grew outside of Dorset into all parts of the UK and overseas, we made up the name Radikls using initials of the directors and their childrens names.
We have always helped new businesses to get their first online website and have grown larger businesses to expand into online sales through our excellent search engine optimisation (SEO) marketing service.
To celebrate our 20 year anniversary we are offering the next 20 new clients a 20% reduction on website design or seo marketing.
To take up this offer email firstname.lastname@example.org or please call 01202 259187.
It seems the best approach for your business this New Year is to make your website ‘responsive’. Have you looked at your site on a tablet and different smart phones? If your site is correctly sized, and provides an optimal viewing experience with minimum scrolling, more customers will engage with your content. With a distinct audience shift to mobile browsing, search engines are placing responsive sites higher.
Radikls’ clients, weathervanes-direct.co.uk, have noticed an increase in customer activity with statistics that 48% of enquiries came through their new responsive website design.
Steve Randall, of fencingcentre.co.uk, also says ‘our sales of log cabins and other products have increased by 25% since we became responsive and developed our search engine marketing’.
Tony Raybould of Radikls says ‘we have seen very quickly that a responsive website is essential in todays consumer market.’
Here at Radikls we love to work with successful small businesses to create websites that have that personal touch. In an age of multi-national corporations and mass-produced imports its lovely to see companies that were started locally and yet have gained an international reputation for unique products made with the highest quality of craftsmanship. Dorset Weathervanes is one such company. A small business started by one man (Graham Smith), who has been making weathervanes since 1986 after combining his artistic skills with manufacturing expertise from fifteen years as a Precision Engineer. After building up a reputation locally, the company has gone on to gain an international client base and has produced over 9000 hand-made weathervanes across 20 countries. Dorset Weathervanes offer a comprehensive personal design service, which means that many of their products are unique and personal to the client. And it is precisely this personal touch, which is the key to the company's success.
Likewise, Radikls share the same ethos of client centred design. We produce unique websites, individually tailored to suit each client's needs. So in response to the need to reflect both the locally-produced artisanal nature of Graham's products and his global reputation, Radikls developed a site which could accommodate both Dorset Weathervanes' growth and their personal and unique service. Their previous website had been running for 12 years and was not able to reflect the high levels of professionalism nor the international service that the company provides. Therefore, we were able to supply them with a highly efficient e-commerce website system for their standard product ranges together with more personal touches like company history, product images and client testimonials. By simplifying Dorset Weathervanes e-commerce system, making it visually stimulating, yet more intuitive and familiar to the end user, Radikls have also ensured that potential customers feel at home when visiting the site and therefore more comfortable to spend money. Indeed, this is essential in an international context, where it is imperative to communicate that all-important sense of trust to prospective customers.
Alongside these things, we also made the new website “responsive”. In other words we made a site that would keep that same level of usability on all hardware, including mobile phones and tablets. A “responsive” website will have adaptive scaling parameters and use relative units like percentages for images and page elements. This allows for ease of reading and navigation on all devices, and ensures that a minimum of resizing, panning and scrolling is required from the user. We did this to ensure that potential customers viewing the site on mobile devices remain on it for longer than the first 30 seconds, which are critical for ensuring that first time users continue to use it rather than look elsewhere.
We recently launched the assured retirement living provider Royal Bay Care Homes' new website with the effect of increasing click-throughs and boosting the online visibility of their portfolio. So far we have not only improved the company's overall traffic by 20% but enhanced the visibility of Royal Bay's regional estates. The Radikls team did this by modernising their main website to make it more user-friendly and by using newer source codes to ensure that it is simpler and easier to maintain. More importantly, we gave each of the company’s care homes its own domain name and more location friendly meta-titles so that they ranked high in regional searches.
Radikls have not only designed Royal Bay’s new website and improved SEO but have also been able to help maintain and manage the sites of all the care homes in the company’s portfolio. We have also provided them with our net-inform package, which enables visitors to Royal Bay's website to view the latest news stories for all regional sites. We were also able to provide a simpler email system to maintain and manage email contacts, together with a highly competitive maintenance and consultancy package to ensure our commitment to the company’s future. Moreover we also built Royal Bay an Extranet system so that care home managers are able to access and download the latest forms and information, and to place requests for capital. We did this at the company's request because they wanted to ensure that each home was using up-to-date forms and information, and that expenditure requests had to be formally accepted before capital was released. Since its installation, this centralised system has not only become a valuable tool in a fast growing environment but also a necessity in ensuring that all managers are kept up to date with central policy and information.
It’s still early days for this launch but all in all Royal Bay’s online traffic is improving and more importantly each of their care homes is showing up better in regional searches. Moreover, Royal Bay are very happy with the new look of the site, which uses more streamlined and accessible design, and on the strength of the growth already witnessed, it looks like the project is another Radikls success story.
In a recent survey by market research group TNS, it was found that 7 out of 10 people in the UK now own a smartphone. Whilst the biggest demographic of smartphone users are those aged between 25 and 30, it is estimated that more than half those aged between 54 and 65 also own smartphones. These are significant figures and show that more and more of us are relying on internet access for routine activities such as shopping, searching for local products and services, and finding directions or other location-based information.
As the percentage of those who view websites via mobiles and tablets increases, it is important that you are confident that people are getting the optimal viewing experience for their device. This means a website that is “responsive” to all devices, enabling ease of reading and navigation, and to ensure that a minimum of resizing, panning and scrolling is required from the user. Moreover, by providing a the site that is easy to use this will also help boost your ranking in Search Engines, as good usability will ensure that visitors will stay on your site for longer and dissuade them from moving to a competitor whose site is “responsive”.
We were recently contacted by Hove Car Spares www.hovecarspares.co.uk who recognises the importance of website responsiveness and therefore asked Radikls to redesign their website in this way. We were able to do this for the set price of only £300, and the end result has been to enhance their brand by providing an easy to use online service for mobile and tablet users. This not only means that we are helping them to increase the time potential customers spend viewing their web pages but also enabling them to reach out to even more users by boosting their Search Engine Optimisation. Moreover, as an e-commerce site, Hove Car Spares are reassured that first-time users are getting an excellent online purchasing experience, which will in turn encourage repeat custom. Indeed, this is particularly true of young drivers in the Brighton and Hove area, as those aged between 17 and 24 are most likely to search for location-specific information and to use a location receptive browser like Google Chrome or Firefox.
We are excited to announce that we have just taken over the Portsmouth based website design company Siteweave www.siteweave.net. The company had been running for 12 years when the owners made the decision to retire. They had built up a healthy portfolio of clients over the time, including the haulage fleet management company Tructyre. Radikls have already begun work on designing Tructyre a new website in partnership with their marketing team who are looking to redefine the company with a new unique selling point. They are now changing their focus away from repair contracts and towards preventative maintenance of vehicles. This means that they are wanting to promote a system whereby vehicles are checked regularly for potential parts failure and thereby avoid the additional costs of roadside repairs and recovery. This not only reduces overall fleet costs but can also improve efficiency and most importantly vehicle safety. Brake failure, for example, is a common cause of collisions involving commercial vehicles, so it's wise to have fleets regularly checked.
Siteweave also have a great reputation for SEO and have boosted a number of their clients to page one of Google. These clients include amongst others, Hampshire Law Society, Atlas Trailers, Topline Windows, J Bridges Property Maintenance, Vistaplan Streetware, Hampshire Drainage Solutions, Mapledean Developments and Chiltern Fireplaces. With our SEO skills, Radikls plan not only to maintain but better the company's excellent record. Indeed, we have already focused on utilising Siteweave's locality and existing client base to boost its online visibility, not just in Portsmouth and Hampshire but nationally. These are exciting times for Siteweave as we look to expand their portfolio and drive the company forward using our SEO and e-business expertise.
Radikls devise complete e-business strategies to help maximise internet profit for companies like Siteweave and their clients. This is because we understand that everything from web design to content management systems, domain hosting to SEO, go hand-in-hand with the marketing communications to boost the online profiles of businesses, helping them thrive in the sometimes harsh conditions of an ever changing marketplace. So if you are thinking of retiring or moving on but don't want to see the years of building up and nurturing your business go to waste, then we have what it takes to maintain and build your portfolio and to push your company towards a successful future. If this sounds like you, then contact Tony Raybould at email@example.com or call him on 01202 259187. All enquiries will be in discussed in strict confidence and if no agreement is made, your clients will not be contacted afterwards.
As more holiday makers are looking for the luxury end of camping, Mark and Caryl Ralph of Caalm Camp in Shaftesbury have found they have hit a niche market. Setting up last Spring, a lot of time was spent sourcing and trying out the best Yurts for our UK climate, and then fitting them out with luxury furnishings including cosy wood burners. None of the usual dash to a drafty toilet block as the 'facilities' are equally luxurious private wet rooms with under floor heating, and a large lounge come function/ meeting room. Bookings are on the increase and the website is marketed and monitored by Tony Raybould of Radikls.com.
Owner Mark said "Tony’s guidance in setting up a user friendly website but with great emphasis on the optimisation is paying off with our enquiries and bookings. To be number one in Google with our vital key words is where everyone wants to be".
The Yurts are available for weekly, weekend or midweek bookings, for group bookings, or corporate events or conferences, for more information go to www.dorsetyurtcampsite.co.uk
